glowing skin

Having a healthy glow to the skin is perhaps one of the most common beauty trends. While putting on some makeup can cover up your skin imperfections, having a skincare routine is the best way of keeping your skin healthy and has that “glow from within” look. Yes, even without makeup, your skin can look glowing! If achieving that “glow from within” look is your beauty goal, then there are several pointers you need to keep in mind.

Skincare is a must!

When asking someone about their secret to glowing skin, they may have answered about having a good skincare routine. Besides staying away from stressors and engaging in endorphin-releasing activity, having a skincare routine is necessary. Here are some essential skin care tips you should include in your daily routine:

  • Remove makeup before you go to sleep
Remember that makeup can clog your pores. Let your skin breathe. It’s not recommended to wear makeup at all times, but when you do, remember to take it off before you go to bed.
  • Exfoliate
Regular exfoliation can remove dead skin cells making your skin look brighter. Remember, your skin produces new cells.  The key here is to remove those accumulated dead skin cells on your skin surface, which can cause your skin to look dull and dry.
  • Use gentle soap
For that glowing skin, use soap with gentle PH-neutral and chemical-free cleansers. And remember to wash your face at least twice a day. When you over-wash your skin with alkaline products such as soap, it doesn’t just remove dirt but also the protective layer of oils, which can cause your skin to dry out.
  • Sleep and hydrate
Dehydration is a leading cause of dull skin, so remember to drink at least eight glasses of water to increase your skin elasticity. You should also get enough sleep to renew skin cells. It is when collagen production is increased – a substance that makes your skin look beautiful and healthy.
  • Eat healthily
Eat meals that contain lots of vitamins and minerals essential to skin health. Foods rich in antioxidants like avocado can help protect your skin against free radical damage, keeping your skin plump and glowing.
  • Get a facial
Get a facial once every three to four weeks. Getting a facial can help your skin look clean, clear, and toned. It helps you maintain that beautiful glow all month long.

Glow From Within!

Of course, it is important that you take care of yourself too – emotionally, mentally, and physically. Do not let stress get to you and practice self-love every day. Remember, when you feel good inside, it will radiate outside. When you are healthy and happy inside, you have that glow from within, and it will reflect outside, which makes you look radiant and glowing!
