  • Smooth Texture

Your skin absorbs everything that you put into it. A smooth skin texture means your skin receives enough moisture to keep it hydrated. A dull texture could mean that your skin is not hydrated enough or it is congested with dirt, dust, and other harmful chemicals. 

  • Healthy Color

A skin with a healthy color shows an even color — no blotches and no dark spots. Dark spots like the dark circles forming under and around the eye is a sign that you have not given it enough time to rest and regenerate.

With our face being exposed to contaminants every day, it wouldn’t be surprising that our skin is affected in a negative way. The good news is, there are effective ways to reverse it. Below are some skincare tips to achieve healthy, glowing skin. 

  • Protect your skin from the sun

Too much exposure from UV rays from the sun can damage our skin — making it dry and wrinkled. When going out, make sure to use a sunscreen with SPF30 or higher. Seek shade when going out too, use an umbrella, or wear protective clothing.

There are numerous skincare products being marketed today that you will be overwhelmed on which to choose. Opt for skincare products with gentle ingredients and is good for your skin type. Avoid using strong soaps and do not stay long in the shower as it will remove oils from your skin. 

  • Leading a healthy lifestyle

If you are consuming foods that can harm your body, it will show on your skin by making it look dry and vulnerable. Eat foods that are good for your skin such as fruits, vegetables, proteins and many more. Drink plenty of water too as it moisturizes your skin. Stress is one of the major causes of wrinkles and premature aging. Be sure to take the necessary steps to manage your stress.
