Ways To Reduce The Bags Under Your Eyes

Are you constantly bothered by the bags under your eyes? Does it make you feel old and tired? Do you hate how it makes your eyes look tired and droopy? Those annoying bags under your eyes are a common sign of stress and fatigue. However, it doesn’t mean that you can’t get rid of them.

Fortunately, there are ways to reduce the bags under your eyes. You don’t have to deal with those nasty eye bags anymore. Here’s how:


Slice a raw potato into two after it is being refrigerated. Put the two slices with your eyes closed and make sure it covers the puffed areas under your eyes. Leave it for at least 20 minutes. You will notice a decrease on the size of your eye bags.

Vitamin E oil

Take cold water and add a few drops of Vitamin E oil to it. Mix them well and dip cotton pads on it. Place it under your eyes. This will help in reducing the swelling making your eyes look fresher.


Take 2 slices of fresh cucumbers and place it on your eyes for 25 minutes. You can even take a short nap and you will wake up with less puffy eyes. Cucumber has anti-inflammatory properties that can naturally reduce your eye bags.

Chilled tea bags

Moisten two tea bags in cold water. Refrigerate them for a short time and place them over your eyes for 30 minutes. Wash your eyes after with cold water and you will feel relax in an instant.

Egg whites

Another wonder remedy for baggy eyes found inside your home are the egg whites. Aside from being part of a hearty breakfast, egg white is also a natural astringent which helps tighten skin. Whisk two egg whites and apply them gently to the area under your eyes. You will feel its tightening effect in about 5 – 10 minutes; then, rinse well with water. 

Chilled spoons

Who says spoons won’t serve a purpose on your beauty regimen? Put two chilled metal spoons under your area to treat your eye puffiness. 


Water is a universal solvent. Keeping yourself hydrated as much as possible will help flush out not only the toxins inside your body, but also the fluids that causes swelling. Always keep a bottle of water as you go on with your daily activities. Drink 8 or more glasses of water each day. 

Green tea bags

Green tea is not only packed with antioxidants, but it has anti-inflammatory properties which is great to reduce those bags under your eyes. Grab two tea bags and soak them in cold water for a few minutes; then have your eyes covered with them for at least 15 minutes. 

Finally, aside from using the abovementioned home remedies, take extra care of yourself is the best way to treat baggy eyes. Reduce alcohol intake and always wear sunscreen, especially in the area under your eye, when going out.
