Wash in Lukewarm Water

Hot showers and baths feel great during the winter time. However, it is better for you to wash in lukewarm water. Hot water strips oils from your skin.

Moisturize

Your skin requires extra moisture during the winter. There are several types of moisturizers that you can use, but the best ones that you can use are oil-based ones. Oil-based moisturizers will not only keep your skin moisturized, but it will also give your skin a radiant glow.

Increase Your Water Intake

Many people drink less water during the winter time because the temperature decreases. They also exchange water for hot drinks like tea and coffee. In order for you to keep your skin healthy, you will have to hydrate from the inside out. Drinking warm water with the lemon can help you stay hydrated throughout the day. You will need to drink 8 to 10 cups of water per day.

Exfoliate

You will not be able to moisturize your skin properly if you do not exfoliate. This is a process that involves removing dead skin cells. You will need to exfoliate at least once a week. Exfoliating your skin will improve the appearance of your skin.

Change Your Cleanser

You may have to switch up your cleanser in the winter time. You should avoid using products that have salicylic acid or glycolic acid. Apply a moisturizer immediately after you hydrate your skin.

Wear Sunscreen

Even though the temperatures are lower in the winter time, you still need to require sunscreen. You should wear a sunscreen with a SPF of at least 30. The ultraviolet rays can still damage your skin during the winter time. You will need to apply skin to every area of your body that will be exposed to the sun.

Use a Humidifier

A heater is a necessity during the winter time. However, the hot air can dry out your skin and cause irritation. That is why you will need to use a humidifier. A humidifier will increase the amount of moisture in your home. Your bedroom is the best place for you to install a humidifier.

Skip The Facials

Facials are generally good for your skin. However, you may want to go without them during the winter months. Facials can strip your skin of natural oils. If you want to treat yourself to a facial, then you can make your own homemade mask. You can use avocado, yogurt, honey and other natural ingredients to make your facial mask.
